End of the Preschool Era

Langley's last day of preschool was Monday, July 21.  It was very bittersweet.  The school changed their policies and will now only have full time students.  We just don't need or want a full time program, so she will be home every day until Kindergarten next year.  A little scary.  Her preschool was such a blessing during the past 2 years.  It was so needed for that season of life.  Now, I feel like we can soak up more time with her and have a little more flexibility until she starts school next year.

I've already enrolled her in dance and have started a list of things we can do when I'm completely losing my mind. Ha!  We will work on some "academic" stuff.  We will try.  I really am looking forward to the year with her at home.

I was sad because I know she misses her friends at school and teachers who have loved her so well for the past 2 years.  But, as I told her, we will see some of them at church and around town and at soccer or tball.  So, here's to a new adventure for the 2014-2015 year!

These were taken on her last day.  It was also pajama day at school, so she definitely ended on a positive note.

Last Trip of the Summer

We went to Branson with the Austin family last week!

We hit up Bass Pro, Lamberts, Dixie Stampede, and Silver Dollar City.  We also swam and shopped and went to the arcade.

We are so thankful for another great trip!

Langley started running fever about 24 hours after we got home...she has strep throat.  Lovely!

Day 4-6

Day 4: we left Arkadelphia, stopped in Mena, and then made our way to Purcell.  The girls loved Papaw!

Day 5:  we went to the OKC zoo with Mary and Andy, then got to hang out with the family.  Rebecca and Tim even came to see us!

Day 6:  We said our goodbyes and made the long trip home.  Our family is so generous.  We just had a great time every place we stopped!  It is so special to see our girls with our grandparents!

As long as we live so far away, we will do this every year!

Day 1-3 of "the tour."

Day 1 : The trip down was easy. We got to Nana's house and went to visit the family and swim with the Tanaka cousins. The rest of the evening was just some QT with Amber and Nana.

Day 2:  We started by going to Springlake to visit Makenna at the state FCA camp.  We saw lots of familiar faces!  Then, we headed to Family Farm and the girls had a blast while we visited with the May's.  While the girls napped, Josh and I went to get some cavities filled at "Michael Michael's " office and stopped by to see Sharon at her store.  That night, we headed to Arkadelphia for dinner with Nanny and then some playing on Mimi's carport.  We thought we were in heaven being able to go outside with no mosquitos.

Day 3: We had time with Nanny and Memaw!
