Poor Elmo

She drags that big Elmo all around the house. She also wrestles and body slams it several times a day. Hilarious.

It's Cold

My computer is getting old, so I'm super frustrated with the "downloading pictures off the camera or external hard drive" process.  So, just some wordy updates.

Aubrey has been without a paci since Sunday.  I'm shocked at how easy  this transition has been!!  She's been awesome.  She does wake up a lot earlier, though :/

Langley's conversation at dinner last night:  "my favorite color is pink, what's you favorite color?  What Aubrey's favorite color?  What's our house favorite color? "  "Look, my fork is like a bird, it's flapping."  "I need a fork, knife, and spoon; I need to cook for Aubrey's birthday."

I think I'm avoiding the yearly "end of January meltdown" I usually have since the 2 or 3 weeks after Christmas were FUNKY.

Basketball is going ok.  We had a losing streak after Christmas and a couple of ineligible players.  2 big road games this weekend, it would be awesome if we could steal a win.  We'll see. We are currently 10-8.

I'm off to do some laundry and be thankful for my house, my heater, and warm clothes and blankets!

Yesterday was good.  

We just hung out at home.  

Trying to get a normal/smiling picture of these girls just doesn't happen most of the time.

It was another pretty day (besides for the stupid wind) so we went outside again!  Langley loves this umbrella.  She absolutely loves it.  I hide it from her.

So, I just found these built in editing tricks on my phone.  Aubrey is a good subject.

Again, not a normal or smiling picture of the two of them.  Oh well.

Aubrey-lou

This girl.  20 months old.  Repeats everything we say.  Can say Langley (which blows my mind because Langley was probably 3 before she said her own name!)  Runs, squeals, sleeps great, plays well by herself.  Loves Mickey and Elmo and puppies and "b-ball."  Pretty much refuses to use a spoon or fork. Pesters the mess out of her sister and the dog.  Tells everyone hi everywhere we go. Still very intense in whatever emotion she's currently feeling.

I couldn't love her  more!

We've Survived the First 2 Weeks of '14

Life has been pretty "craptastic" since Christmas.  Yes, I even had to invent a word for it.

There's no need in rehashing all the details of what we've faced, nothing really serious, just a lot of crappy things.  

But, now that the weather is out of the single digits, no one has had go to the doctor in a whole 48 hours, and that my eye almost looks normal again, We are making progress into actually living in 2014.

Yesterday was so good.  We got to play outside!
