I don't know

I don't know what to call this post.  The week has been pretty brutal recruiting wise, so the girls and I are just taking it one day at a time.  There has yet to be any "oh, you're home" moments!  Maybe next week?

Josh came home briefly one afternoon to see the girls before another recruiting trip.  It was a nice day so we broke out the kite.  No we don't have any trees, yes it ended up in our neighbors tree. Ha!

Yesterday, Langley had her 4 year old check up.  She was so brave with her shots!  We had to run some errands at the mall afterward, so we got a pretzel to celebrate!

She is 3 feet, 6.5 inches tall (93%) and 38.5 pounds (74%.)  Tall and skinny.

Her mouth is so so tiny and her jaw pops loudly.  The pediatrician suggested an orthodontic consult.  Poor girl may end up with more orthodontic work than I did, and my teeth were a hot mess!  Anyway, she had a good week at school.

Aubrey got to go to work with Josh for a few hours and she had a blast.  And, she charmed everyone who looked her way.

The Season is Over

Our season ended last night in over time.  I'll do a basketball post later. It was a season of ups and downs.

Today starts an adjustment phase for all of us.  I like to call it, "Oh, you're home?"  Ha!

We have been iced in since Monday.  Several inches of sleet, it is just unreal.

So the girls and I have been trapped in the house.

But, no one else got Aubrey's fever virus. The rest of us just have a little cold, so there was no stopping the "doctor princess."

These last pictures make me laugh.  You can see how different the girls are based on what they like to do during half-time.

FOUR

Langley turned 4 years old Saturday!

We started the day with pancakes and presents.

Then, we got ready and headed to Kentucky for Josh's last regular season game.  Carla (one of our player's wife) rode with us, which was fun and very helpful!

After the game - we won!- we shared birthday cake with the team.  I hope I never forget her face as all the guys were singing her happy birthday in the middle of Arby's in Mayfield, Kentucky.  Just so special.

Year after year my love for this child changes, it grows deeper, as we face new challenges and reach new milestones.  As they get older, the actual birth story of a child seems less significant to an outsider; but to this mother, all 9 pounds and 3 ounces of this girl turned our world upside down when she entered this world at 6:33 pm on March 1, 2010 at Conway Regional.  It will always matter, it will always be one of the best days of my life.

I look forward to this year.  3 was hard.

Langley is so precious and so loved.  She is beautiful, smart, sweet, and sassy.  She loves pink and princesses.  She loves to dance and play and sing.  She is still very social and outgoing.  She is funny and loves to pretend.  She loves to run and play hide & seek.  She is so tall and skinny and loves to wear dresses and boots. She talks back, is bossy, and a little bit of a know-it-all....I have no idea where she gets this (hahahahahahah.)

We are grateful for the precious baby she was, the little girl that she is, and for the woman she will become!

We plan to have a joint birthday party for both the girls in April, in between their actual birthdays, but we tried to make her day special and let her know again that she is loved!
