The 11th Month: April 25-28 and Our Weekend

Thursday = no picture.  Josh judged the WBC cookout, so that was fun.

Friday the girls and I had a "stay in our pajamas all day because it's raining and yucky" day. I sat down to take their picture and they tackled me.

Saturday we had a busy day!  First, we had a birthday party for Cason and Kinsley.

Then, we headed to Conway because Josh was inducted to the CBC Athletic Hall of Fame.  He still holds the record for most points scored in a single game (47) as a player.  As a coach, he lead his team to a school record 22 wins in a single season, coached the school's first academic all-american, and had players set records with the most points scored in a season  and most career blocks. These records still stand.   Proud of my man!

Leaving the ceremony, we noticed one of our headlights was out.  The same one we changed during spring break.  We got stopped TWICE on the way home. No tickets or anything, the last cop told us he was "just looking for dope."  I told him we "only had two babies,"  Then my husband says "they make me wish I had some dope sometimes."  Seriously?  Let's learn when to shut.it.  God love him.


Today we went to church and officially joined FBC Walnut Ridge.  Langley bowed when everyone clapped, she is a nut.  After some good naps, Aubrey managed to pull out every toy and book in her room.

The 11th Month: April 21-24

Lillian Turns 2!

We went to a birthday party for little Lillian, Saturday!  It was at Lake Charles and the weather was perfect!  The girls had such a fun time and Josh and I got to visit with the other adults!  Our connection to this party is kinda funny.  We go to church with Lillian's family, so the girls are together in the nursery.  But, her grandmother and aunt are Langley's teachers at school and her grandfather (on the other side) is a professor at WBC.

The 11th Month: April 18-20

She's gotten to wear she'll play independently in her room every morning for about 20 minutes.  She just looks so sweet playing and being so quiet!

This picture makes me cry tears of joy.

We gave her a little bit of icing at a friend's birthday party Saturday.  She was devouring her hand to make sure she got it all!

The 11th Month: April 15-17

I believe she is doing some major teething.  

We did a little birthday party shopping on Tuesday!  Of course we had to have a sombrero!

I found this precious Easter outfit that I had forgotten about!  It's still April, Easter clothes are acceptable :-)

Miss Personality

My Langley.  Talks constantly, laughs when other people laugh no matter the circumstance, gets super excited about lots of things, and is LOVED by many.

Senior Cookout and Egg Hunt

Yes, it's a few weeks after Easter, but we had tons of eggs left and I was craving a fun egg hunt like we had at the Turner/Hardman house back in the day!

I hoped the guys would get into it and they did!  We grilled hot dogs and hung out and then had a egg hunt complete with some sweet prizes!

The 11th Month: April 12-14

She stood there in the splits for 5 minutes and we just laughed and took her picture.  Poor girl :-)
She finally just sat down, toy in hand.  She considered it a victory.

I've mentioned that Aubrey is our all-or-nothing girl.  For instance this week, she went from 4 bottles a day to 1 and now uses her sippy cup the rest of the time.  She also started eating table food and just wanting to feed herself, all of the sudden baby food is old news (I can still get her to eat the fruits pretty well.)  And, she says uh-oh.  And, went down to 2 naps.  None of this was gradual.  She will have none of it one day, and the next we've reach a new stage.

She keeps me on my toes!

The 11th Month: April 8-11

Um, no picture from Monday.  Forgive me.

Playing her piano.  She likes to stand, but prefers us to stand her up instead of pulling up herself.  But she can do it.

Getting in the toy box.  Right after this picture she got into the splits and wouldn't let go of the toys, so she was stuck.  Pictures of that later :-)

Big Man in a Little Bjorn

For like a year, Josh has been talking about the bjorn.  He was so intrigued by it.  He always said he would carry Aubrey in it, but we would just laugh and I would end up doing it.  Because, the thing is not that comfortable and I wasn't sure it would fit around his big strong shoulders and back.  

Well, at the park Sunday he talked about the bjorn and I hooked the thing up!  It was so funny!  He's a college basketball coach, not your typical 'baby wearer,' we laughed so hard - and Aubrey was a little confused!

It was a great afternoon and we enjoyed the playground and just being outside around the lake.

The last time we were here, Langley was terrified of the ducks, but we enjoyed them this time.

Back to School She goes!

Langley had a rough week, but has been fever free since Thursday afternoon!!  She was so excited to go outside Saturday and to church Sunday.  So, I'm praying she has a good day at school and she's fully recovered.
