Bummer.

Langley has not been pleasant recently.  Sleeping has been a problem. She's very whiney.  Yuck.  Is this what normal babies are like? Everyone has always said how good she acts and asks "is she this happy all the time?"  Well, now she definitely acts better in public than she does at home, which is probably typical.  I keep thinking she's teething, or maybe she's too hot, too cold, constipated, otherwise in pain, bored, going through a growth spurt....etc, etc, etc.  Bottom line - I don't really like to be around her after a few hours of whining and fighting sleep.  Please Lord, let this end soon, or at least let her sleep through the night again.  She's been sleeping in the pack and play in the guest room (because it's hot in her room,) she has outgrown all her swaddle blankets, and when she first started crying out in the middle of the night, Josh would go check on her.  It's kind of all spiraled out of control.  Neither of us has had a full night's sleep in a few weeks.  I bought a lightweight sleep sack, so we are letting her get used to being unswaddled and being able to roll around.  Do we let her cry it out?  Like I said, Yuck.

There's been a lot going on recently.  School has started, Josh turned 30, off season started, our shower door fell off, I finally decided I wanted to lose weight and I'm impatient about that process...and seriously, this is the HOTTEST summer I've ever lived through.  It's HOT.  Will it ever end?!  Ned Perme says yes.  Or, as we call him, Ped Nerme.  And I giggle every time Josh says "Ped."

We are just trying to get in a groove and a new schedule.  But, Josh's family suffered a sudden loss yesterday with the passing of his uncle Donny, so that has added sadness to the mix.

Sorry this post is whiney (Langley is rubbing off on me.)  I'll leave you with this:

The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.  Psalm 29:11

Oh and I am so not there and you are the mom but I always fall back on the teething thing. It has made both my girls miserable...every single tooth!!

Hey girl! I'm sure you've probably considered this but are sure it's not an ear infection? Truett never runs fever or anything when he has one, the only sign is that he stops sleeping through the night. Oh and he did randomly go through a short stage where he just stopped for a couple months and we eventually had to let him cry it out. It took less than a week and he was back on schedule. Just a few thoughts. I know how frustrating it is though. Exhausting!

Just when you think you have it all figured out. They always change. Sawyer has always had sleep problems. Does she fall asleep on her own or do you rock her to sleep? I always rocked Sawyer so he didn't learn to put himself to sleep so at night when he woke up he would need me to go back to sleep. I had to let him cry it out and that solved the problem. If you want to talk more about this feel free to facebook me.
