We've had many visitors this week and it's been wonderful to see friends and family and how much Langley is already loved! Some of my favorite pictures we have are with our grandmothers, all 3 of them were so excited to meet and hold Langley for the first time. In the hospital several people from our church, including 3 pastors came to visit, and we've been blessed by our Life Group with meals.
Wednesday morning we had a very hard time waking Langley up, she went about 6 hours without eating. The doctor checked her bilirubin level that morning and it was at 9. Everyone agreed that a little jaundice was making her a little extra sleepy. Well, at her first Doctor's appointment Friday morning, he ordered us to the hospital lab every day throughout the weekend to have her levels checked. Today she was up to 18.3 and the doctor told us to bring her in in the morning and be prepared to check in to the hospital for some light therapy if her numbers havent gone down. I have been very stict about having her eat every 2-2.5 hours today trying to get her to poop more and we went outside this afternoon in the beautiful weather for a little sunshine. Jaundice is certainly not a huge deal, and I am so thankful for my healthy baby, but I will still cry if she has to be in the hospital. I am just praying that either way we can get rid of this jaundice and be done with our daily trips to Conway Regional!
The first 2 nights we were home were absolutely awful. I mean awful. Langley screamed for hours every night. We were exhausted and unnerved to say the least. Well, Friday I made the executive decision that I would exclusively pump and feed her with a bottle. She ate so well all day and slept like an angel. Beginners luck? Maybe. But, Saturday was awesome as well with her eating and sleeping. Josh and I divided up the night into shifts. Basically, I have her until midnight, and then he gets up with her any time until 5:00 am. Once I've put her to bed at 11:30ish, Josh has gotten up around 2:30 or 3:00, and then she's slept until 6 or 7am. If I wouldnt wake up so frequently to listen to the monitor or go look at her, I would have a full night's sleep :-) God has really blessed us with rest and we are praying this becomes normal for us. I definitley function better when i have sleep. My bedtime has always been earlier than everyone else's, so I'm adjusting!
Here are some pictures from today. She awake for about 3 hours straight this morning. After she ate, I had to put up some laundry in her room so I put her on a blanket and she just stretched and kicked and seemed to stare at the build-a-bear Josh and I made her... it was so sweet! This afternoon we went for a walk around our neighborhood and soaked up some sun and then we gave her her first real bath at home. Enjoy some pictures from our Sunday...

Rach, Langley is SO cute and precious!!! Hang in there and enjoy ( I know it's hard sometime.) EVERY moment. I can't wait to hold her. After all, I am "sort of" related. Kay Matlock
She is so precious! I'm gonna have to come visit her soon! Congrats again!
Awww, Rachel. She is just precious! Congratulations, Mama! My favorite pic is the close up of her outside. I'm pretty sure she has a little smirk on her face. Glad you guys are getting some rest. You'll have to teach me about that someday ;)
