Last Saturday

Last Saturday, I did not want to stay in the house and I didn't want to spend money, so we loaded up to go scout Williams Baptist in Walnut Ridge (such is the life of a coach's wife.)  When we got to Searcy, Josh had me verify the start time for the game.  He had looked the previous day and it said 2:00pm, which we planned for.  Well, they moved the game to 4:00.  We were already in Searcy.  We decided to just kill a couple of hours and still go to the game, even though we knew we wouldn't make it back to Conway for "party in the parking lot."

Our first stop was for lunch at the Bulldog in Bald Knob.  Good times.

We all had a yummy lunch. I did pretty good preparing baby cereal and fruit on the go, and Langley actually ate without being too distracted.

We loaded back up and headed to Walnut Ridge.  We were planning on finding a park or somewhere just to walk around and kill some time.  When we got to town, it was like the  heavens had opened up and we ran across a festival downtown.  Pefect!

My loves at the Iron Mountain Festival.

We were so obviously "not from around there."  Before we found a place to park, Josh asked a lady if this was a "free carnival."  I totally made fun of him.  There were no carnival rides anywhere.

It was a beautiful day.  We strolled around the festival and shared a funnel cake!

That whole chain of events was too funny!  We really had a great day as a family and Josh even got to scout the team (which helped us beat them last night!)
